The District Docklands has undergone a significant transformation over the years, relaunching with a new name and brand, the precinct is home to much loved International and national brands including H&M, Skechers, Miniso, Hype DC, Toyworld, UNIQLO, Cotton On, Ozmosis, EB Games and more.
The opening of a new dining and entertainment precinct has since seen the arrival of Australia’s the most technologically advanced HOYTS experience, Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq, 8 Street Asian hawker-style restaurant, The Pancake Parlour, Dohtonbori Okonomiyaki and Urban Alley Brewery along with other food and beverage offerings to compliment an existing array of experiences and entertainment including ArtVo, Melbourne Star Observation Wheel, O'Brien Icehouse and Glow Golf Docklands.
In October 2019 The District’s very own fresh food precinct Market Lane opened, welcoming Woolworths supermarket and Dan Murphy’s, complimented by other fresh food and daily needs stores. Now open is Empire Asian Supermarket, The Butcher Club Epicurean, Fish Pier, Gourmet Deli House, The Humble Baker & Co, Docklands City Pharmacy, Health Kick and more.
District Office (DO) launched in 2021 and offers adaptable working environments with flexible and fast leasing, full modular fits outs with kitchens, desks, meeting rooms, breakout spaces and a generous central collaboration zone called ‘The Clubhouse’. This new commercial space links seamlessly to the wider precinct at The District. The first tenants to move include Carl’s Jnr. Head Office, The Digital Picnic and Baysen Vivid.
The transformation into a modern urban village continues in 2021 with development works currently underway on our newest hotel offering, Nesuto Docklands Apartment Hotel. A leading boutique experience, Nesuto Docklands offers 211-key apartment hotel with 58 x 1-bedroom, 20 x 2-bedroom and 133 studio apartments and is set to open in early 2023. Guests will enjoy the benefits of fully-equipped kitchens, separate bedrooms, open plan living and dining spaces, internal laundry facilities, plus a well-equipped gym, plus all that is on offer at The District.
